Does it count?

I'm wondering if being able to climb all the way to the tip top of the play area of Burger King is a milestone... I'm thinking that even if it's not, it is a huge deal. Today Alex did it. He made it all the way to the top of both sides. On one side there is a huge twisty slide, and on the other a train or as he calls it: Choo choos. He went everywhere. I was really proud of him. So I guess I need to note down in his baby book that at 21 months, he made it to the top. That way his brother or sister will have something to strive towards..haha.

Looking back, and forward!

I was just looking at some of our first pictures with Alex last night and thinking about how fast it feels like time goes by. He is almost two now and will soon be an older brother. I think back to the first few days with a newborn and those days felt eternal. We were so exhausted and I felt like he would never sleep long enough for me to sleep at all....and now here he is sleeping almost 12 hours every night! Sometimes I really want to get him out of bed and just rock him, like I used to do. I just go in his room and touch his head and watch him sleep. I know there must be enough love in my heart for two babies, but right now there is just so much for him, I don't know what it will be like to share my heart with both.

Remembering....

April Pictures

soccer boy

Time just keeps slipping away from me. I have been SO tired lately that I haven't been able to do much except try to rest and keep up with SoccerBoy Alex :) I call him that because last week at about 5:30 a.m. we heard him yell "GOALLLLL GOL!", he was completely asleep. It was so cute. I thought maybe he'd just woken up early, but no, he was dreaming of futbol. He now says futbol, calle (street), vamos. He tells his Papa "vamos, calle!" Let's go out! Calle means anywhere that isn't at home. It also means street, literally. Just a little while ago he and Daniel were getting ready to leave, to give me a bit of a break, and he kept saying...Vamos Papa, calle, papa!
